2008 Northeast Regional Field Target Championship (NERFTC)

The Broome County Sportsmen's Association will proudly play host to the 2008 NERFTC! The match will be held on Sunday July 20th, 2008. This date was chosen to coincide with the conclusion of the air gun show in Baldwinsville, NY. The practice range will open at 7:00AM, followed by the competitors meeting at 8:30AM with the match starting at 9:00AM. The match will consist of two 40-shot rounds for a total of 80 shots. The course will be laid out in 10 lanes with 2 targets per lane and competitors will take 2 shots per target. There will be a 5 minute time limit for each lane. The covered firing line is loose pea gravel so be prepared - if your bum bag/shooting seat has legs they will readily sink in when you sit down.
AAFTA rules will be observed and shooters will compete in either the PCP Division, Piston Division, or Hunter Division. No additional classes will be offered. Awards will be given to places 1st through 3rd for each division. Crosman will be financing all awards for the match and they plan to have a company representative present to promote their product line, possibly offering some hands-on time with their new Discovery PCP air rifle!
Please indicate on your registration form if you would like to take part in the team competition. If you would like to be part of a team but do not have any other teammates we will mix you in with others to form complete teams where possible. Teams will be composed of 3 shooters, one from each division - PCP, Piston, and Hunter. The highest combined team score wins. If you have a special squadding request (someone you wish to shoot with) please indicate this on your registration form and we will make every attempt to honor your request.
We will break for a chicken BBQ lunch between rounds and meals for all competitors are free. If competitors will be bringing a guest additional meals can be ordered when the registration form is mailed in. Otherwise, additional BBQ meals will not be available for purchase by general spectators. There is a McDonald's and an ExpressMart about 1.5 miles from the club.
The entry fee is $20.00 per competitor, $5.00 for juniors (age 18 and under).
